believe housing has received a number of requests for information in respect of the Government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme in relation to supporting Ukrainian families with accommodation in the UK.
We fully support the Government’s approach and tenants who wish to help those affected and will help where we can. Just a few things to remember in relation to complying with your tenancy agreement with believe housing should you wish to register via the Government’s website.
If you’re thinking about supporting a family please be aware;
believe housing staff can provide advice on the requirements.
There will also be property and personal checks undertaken by the agencies managing the re-settlement scheme in relation to applicants’ suitability to support the scheme.
The Government has advised that any housing support should be available for a minimum of six months and an optional £350 per month “thank you” payment will be paid for as long as you sponsor a family for up to 12-months. This is paid in arrears.
Details are shown below, and tenants should check the details of the scheme and Government advice before proceeding as this may be subject to change.
